I NEED YOU By: Natiesha Wray
I need you.
You need me.
We're all apart of God’s body.
Stand in agreement with me
We’re all apart of God’s family.
Who do you think you are that you are better than me?
Clarke, Campbell, Benjamin, we all come from Mama Wea Wea.
Life’s journey has different paths
Some traveled slow, some very fast.
We’re all proud of the obstacles we’ve had to overcome
But, remember,
None of us is better than one!
Did I hurt you? Cause tears to be shed?
I know what I’ve said
I know what I’ve done
Finally, I admit it… I am the guilty one.
And only through my arrogance
Could I claim to ever imagine or guess
How big of a scar on your heart I left
But tell me,
Mother, father, sister, brother, half-brother, half-sister,
step-father, step-mother, aunt, uncle, cousin, daughter,
son, mother-in-law, father-in-law…
If I come to you in repentance and humility
Tell me, will you have the courage to release and forgive
me?
I was a fool and bear the blame
But you too would be a fool
To leave here, tonight
The same way that you came.
I simply cannot afford
To ignore you anymore
Because I now realize
I need you to survive.
Please, pray with me.
